Beautification Commission

The Beautification Commission was established in 2018 for the purpose of enhancing and beautifying the Village of Willow Springs. The seven appointed Commissioners work on several projects which include Legacy Garden Park, shredding events, bingo fundraisers, the Memorial Brick Walkway program, and four Little Libraries located throughout the Village.

Legacy Garden Park, located at 105 Kazwell, Willow Springs, was donated by a resident to encourage community involvement. The Garden holds 18 garden boxes, of which four are ADA-accessible. Applications for garden boxes are available for rental starting March 1 of every year—planting begins May 1 and lasts through October 31. The Garden Park has a beautiful gazebo where visitors may sit to admire the stunning plantings, a walking path accessible to all the garden boxes, and a water tank for gardeners to access water for their garden boxes. Commissioner Beth Piersialla, a certified Master Gardener, gives wonderful, fun and educational programs to all who visit our garden several times during the spring, summer, and fall months. Please check the Village website or our Facebook pages for dates of these programs.

The Memorial Brick Walkway fundraising program offers the opportunity to purchase a commemorative brick. The Brick Project is in the walkway area from the Village parking lot to the front of Village Hall.

Applications for Garden Boxes or Bricks are available on the Village website.
