Dear Prospective “Shop-With-A-Cop” Sponsor:
The Willow Springs Police Department in partnership with Walmart, and many wonderful sponsors, are looking to bring Christmas Joy and Spirit to many special children and their families in need of a little more assistance than we do this Christmas season. The “Shop-With-A-Cop” program benefits a number of remarkable children — who will be escorted by Willow Springs Police Officers — to purchase toys, clothing, school supplies, or selected merchandise to have under their Christmas tree on Christmas morning.
Besides bringing wonderful smiles and memories, the “Shop-With-A-Cop” event will also continue to build on positive relationships between the children, their families, and the community with our police officers. The grade school children are from Willow Springs and attend either Pleasantdale, Willow Springs, or Trinity Lutheran schools.
In asking for your assistance for many deserving families, and partnering with the Willow Springs Police Department in this joyous endeavor, any monetary contribution will go towards the purchase of gift cards for the children to shop with. Our goal is to provide at least $100.00 gift cards for each participating child to shop with.
On behalf of the Willow Springs Police Department, we thank you in advance for your consideration of sponsorship that will bring joy and hope to those who are a little less fortunate at Christmas time. The “Shop-With-A-Cop” event will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at our local Walmart store in Hodgkins, IL.
Please contact the Willow Springs Police Department if you would like to provide a Christmas donation to the “Shop-With-A-Cop” children’s holiday event.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of donation.
Best wishes for a joyous holiday season,
James Ritz
Chief of Police
