What To Expect :
Provide dispatcher with the following details (try to remain calm and speak in a clear voice):
- Location of emergency as exact as possible (address, names of town, roads, cross-streets, intersections, landmarks)
- Nature of the emergency (inform dispatcher of injuries/dangerous situations (threats to persons and/or property)
- Provide Name and your Phone Number
- Provide further information as needed and answer questions
- Stay on the line – DON’T HANG UP UNTIL ALL INFORMATION IS COMMUNICATED OR UNTIL INSTRUCTED BY DISPATCHER
Emergency landline calls to 911 made from your home will provide emergency dispatchers with the caller’s exact address.
Emergency calls to 911 made from your cell phone will not provide an exact location and will vary depending on the type of wireless phone used and the number and location of cell phone towers in the area.
Never assume your location can be traced (Don’t Go Where You Don’t Know) and be prepared to provide location information (address, name of town, roads, cross-streets, intersections, landmarks).

Parking Restrictions:
No overnight parking is allowed on Village streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Please contact the Police Department if you have a temporary need for parking on the street. To facilitate the removal of snow, there is no parking day or night with a snow of 2 or more inches.
Police Tickets:
Citations can be paid in person at the Village Hall via check, credit card or cash, online at www.payquicket.com . Parking Tickets (P tickets only) at www.violationspayment.com . You also have the option of attending a hearing at the Village of Willow Springs held at 10:00 am on the second Tuesday of the month at 1 Village Circle. If you do not pay the fine by the due date listed on your violation notice or attend the closest scheduled hearing date, your fine will be doubled.
State citations issued for driving violations (e.g., speeding, disobeying traffic signals, reckless driving, DUI, illegal use of electronic devices, no proof of insurance, expired vehicle registration, driving on suspended license) will incur penalties/fines and may require you to appear in a Circuit Court of Cook County (Bridgeview 5th Municipal District Court).

Reverse 911 Notification System:
The Village of Willow Springs participates in a “Reverse 911” system which dispatches public safety messages directly to your phone in the event of an emergency. To register your telephone number, please click here.
Prescription Drug Disposal:
Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment. The Cook County Sheriff’s Prescription Drug Take-Back Program is a free service for Cook County residents to collect their unused and expired prescription and nonprescription drugs. Safely dispose of your pharmaceuticals into the designated drop-off box located inside the Willow Springs Police Department during lobby hours Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm. No liquids accepted.
